With the total land area of 24,475 hectares, 21,599.76 or 88.25% are agricultural lands.

Rice is planted to 629.50 hectares, distributed into 170 hectares of irrigated land and 459.50 hectares of rainfed land. Irrigation water comes from two (2) sources: communal for the remaining 50 hectares situated in 3 barangays.

This produces an estimated 2,872 metric tons of rice annually. Atimonan produced 11,304 metric tons of copra in 1997. However, it gradually receded to present countdown of 16.419.54 hectares planted with coconut from 18,242 hectares in 1995. This was attributed to rapid land conversion, high demand for coco lumber and weather effects brought about by the El Niño phenomenon.
