There are thirty two (32) public schools in Atimonan, twenty seven (27) of them are offering primary education and the other five (5) provide for the secondary education services.

 

Aside from these public institutions, a total of seven (7) private schools have also been established in the locality. All of these private schools provide pre-school education while four (4) is offering elementary and secondary education. Two (2) of these schools offer tertiary education and three (3) vocational/technical schools for those who wish to acquire technical courses of their choice. Almost all of these schools are located within the poblacion area.

 

In 1995, Atimonan registered a high literacy rate of 95.28% with 45,223 literate persons out of 47,463 population 5 years old and over.
