Along the shorelines of Atimonan live seven hundred thirteen (713) families whose main livelihood depend on the rich fishing ground that is the Lamon Bay area. Coastal barrages are barangay Villa Ilaya, Villa Ibaba, Zone-I Poblacion, Angeles, Balubad, Buhangin and Lumutan.

The fishing community has 459 registered fishing vessels where 186 are weighing below 3 tons and 273 are weighing over 3 tons. Big time operators sail to as far as the Pacific Ocean and Ragay Gulf in Camarines Norte and Bicol to catch fish as reflected in Tables below.

The town hosts a fishing port located at barangay Zone IV Poblacion. It serves as the drop point of fish brokers and businessmen in this part of Quezon and traders coming from Lamon Bay, Pacipic Ocean and Ragay Gulf, Bicol end up being traded here.
