The municipality of Atimonan is being serviced by the Electric Cooperative (QUEZELCO) for its power needs. The National Power Corporation (NPC) supplies QUEZELCO with its Power via the NPC transmission line in Luzon, as per NEA/NPC projections, with the operationalization of the different energy sources in mainland Luzon, power supply will be sufficient to service all of the mainland populace.
The availability of power is not much of a problem in Atimonan. Power supply is adequate and readily available and the only problem is the construction of distribution lines and facilities to service the far-flung barangays. It is delivered on a twenty four-hour, round the clock basis.

The rates indicated in table 16 do not include the variable fuel cost, the adjustment, and other charges billed from time to time by NPC to the cooperative and in turn being billed by the cooperative to the consumers.
The existing QUEZELCO rate is much higher than MERALCO rate hindering some industrial investors to implement their industrial studies in the area.
The only consolation the consumers get is the fact that the cooperative is energizing far-flung and less populated barangay, which the MERALCO management cannot accomplish.
