Policemen
The Municipal Police Station is housed in a building within the Municipal Hall Compound. It is manned by thirty-two (24) personnel with the actual policeman-population ratio of 1:2,607 compared to the standard 1:1,000
Although there is inadequate local police personnel, the barrage provide auxiliary police services through the reactivation of their barangay tanod and the aid of two (2) KABALIKAT organizations. The crime rate of Atimonan was approximately calculated to 32.03%.

Firemen
As of 2000, there are twelve (12) firemen stationed in the municipality of Atimonan. Compared to the standard Fireman – Population Ratio of 1:1000 the actual ratio of 1:5,213 reveals that there is insufficient number of fireman in the locality.
