Maharlika Highway, a national road which is extended up to Matnog, Sorsogon and Manila or vice versa services commuters from Luzon to Visayas and Mindanao. The accessibility of this road network augment the link of inter regional and provincial movements.
Arterial roads extended to barangay along the Maharlika Highway are better developed and maintained either by national or local government agencies. However, some intersecting the inner barangays are mostly made up of earth fill materials, while others have access through pathways. Accessibility of some barangays are catered by the use of horses in the delivery of goods from farm up to the market place or the use of small boat in barangays situated along the seashore. (See Table below)
Better roads can be found mostly in the urban areas particularly, the poblacion area where roads are either concrete or asphalt. The municipality has a various bridges, which can be found in various barangays made of light and concrete materials.
Atimonan has also a feeder port and municipal wharf servicing the municipalities in the delivery of goods and services.
This port however, has no service facilities that shall value the comfort and convenience of port users. Continued reclamation and construction of the needed facilities are on going to develop the area to become a center of business and commerce for the town in the near future.
The municipality is also being traversed by 4.7 km. railroad by the Philippine National Railway; however, they are not maintaining a station here. Skates are the most common means of transportation of the barangays along the railroads.
